Notes
Her husband was the editor of "Dos Jidisze Togłat" and a writer. They had four children. She lived with her family in Praga (district of Warsaw). She owned a clothing shop at 35 Brukowa Street. In the ghetto, she sold items from her pre-war shop to support the family. She was deported to Treblinka in January 1943. According to another account, in 1939 Golda's husband, Szmuel, wanted to take the family out of Poland. When Golda refused, he left for Palestine alone via Białystok and Vilnius, arriving there in 1941. In autumn 1940, Golda and the children were confined in the Warsaw Ghetto. In September 1942, the family received certificates permitting them to emigrate to Palestine. By that time, the three younger children had already been deported to Treblinka, where they were killed. Golda met the same fate in January 1943.
