Notes
She married Froim Frank. They had two children: Rutka (1936) and Mosze (1938/39). They lived at 12 Gęsia Street. Their apartment was placed in the ghetto. Her husband's parents, Chawa and Naftali Franks, lived with them. In the ghetto, my husband worked in a tailor's shop, learning to sew on a machine. In the summer of 1942, for a lot of money, the husband arranged for the whole family ausweis from the Toebbensa factory at 16 Gęsia Street. Her husband's sister, Gołda Rothskin with four children (Rachel/Roma, Jehudit/Justyna, Rywka/Regina and Dawidek), brother Ignacy, moved to them with his wife Hanka, who was pregnant, brother Luzer with his wife and Regina, their parents' pre-war maid. Froim and Ignacy made a hiding place in the apartment. The door leading from the dining room to the bedroom was blocked by a wardrobe. A masked opening was cut in the back of the wardrobe. Winter coats, suits, dresses, etc. were hung densely in the wardrobe. One of the residents had a permanent observation duty at the window. One day Luzer and his wife went to their wife's parents for the Sabbath, they never came back. The husband was still working in the szop [ghetto factory]. The rest of the family spent most of their time in the hideout. One day the servant Regina went to the store. Since she had not returned for a long time, Sala went looking for her. She did not come back.
