Sender and his mother were separated from his father and brother Harold in the transit camp in Kiełbasin. The attempt to rescue little Sender failed — the guards turned the boy back at the gate. Bluma and her son were deported from Kiełbasin to Treblinka and murdered on the day of arrival.
