- His company specialised in the production of women’s shoes, which were exported throughout Poland. Production was carried out by hand, and Mordechaj was also a highly regarded footwear designer. The company employed around 100 people, including Jewish bootmakers (known as ‘kamaszniks’) and Polish shoemakers, who were responsible for finishing the products.
