- Ruth, her sister Bronia, her mother Miriam, Raisel with her child, and her two youngest siblings marched to the train. The family tried to hide in a building, but were eventually recaptured. Ruth and Bronia were separated from the rest of the family. Ruth says, We knew it was terrible. We knew we would never see them again. Ruth never saw her mother, sister Raisel, her child, or her youngest siblings again.
