Notes
He traded in real estate in Poznań. The family lived in comfortable circumstances, and Wiktor frequently conducted business with Germans living near the border who were selling their farms in order to return to Germany. During the occupation, in order to support his family, he also engaged in trade. Despite the prohibition on Jews travelling, he paid a Polish woman to bring him sweets, including products made by the Wedel company, from Warsaw, which Wiktor then sold in shops. In 1941, Wiktor was taken by the Germans to work on the construction of a concentration camp near Lublin, and in May 1942 he was sent to Baranowicze to help build an airfield. He was shot there at the turn of January and February 1943.
