He owned a wholesale business supplying food products such as sugar and salt to shops. He also ran a transport company operating bus services between Bodzentyn and Kielce. After fleeing from Bodzentyn to Starachowice, he worked in the local ammunition factory and lived in the men's barracks. He was murdered in the Starachowice camp, most probably during the execution of prisoners suffering from typhus.
