- Batja was the daughter of Abraham and Chawa (née Michaelson). She had three brothers and two sisters. During the war, she lived in the Warsaw Ghetto. She tried to escape to another city, but was caught and taken to prison. There, she contracted typhus, but survived. After she was released, her mother, who had washed her clothes, contracted typhus and died. Batja died in Treblinka.
