Notes
Jeruchim lived in Warsaw together with his sons Leib, Szymon and Zelig. Szymon died as a result of wounds sustained during the bombing of Warsaw in September 1939. During the great liquidation action, Jeruhim and Zelig escaped from the ghetto and got to Minsk. Jeruhim's older son, Lejb, lived here with his wife's family, the Szarfsztejn, at Mostowa Street. During the liquidation of the Minsk ghetto, Zelig was taken to a transport of Minsk Jews deported to Treblinka on August 22, 1942. Jeruhim avoided deportation and hid with his daughter-in-law and her family in the attic of the house at Mostowa Street. When the hideout was discovered by the Germans, they were transported to the ghetto in Kałuszyn, from where they were taken to Treblinka. / This is the symbolic grave of the Guz family: Gołda died September 5, 1938, Szymon died September 1939, Jeruchim and Zelig died in Treblinka in 1942.
