- Jakub was a plumber. He was skinny, long-legged. He learned plumbing from his father-in-law, Rubin Cukier. He married Sabina (Sima) Cukier. They had two children, Halinka and Marek. He cooked perfectly. His wife, children and father-in-law died in Treblinka. He reportedly died during the uprising in 1943 and according another account in Treblinka.
