Notes
On December 13, 1939, the family was expelled from Łódź. They passed through several towns and ghettos – Kraków, Tarnów, Białobrzegi, and Mogielnica. In July 1942, their son, Jakow, was taken to forced labour building an electrical line. He returned home only on Sundays. In November 1942, after they were not brought back one day, he learned from Polish workers that all the Jews from Mogielnica had been taken. Shlomo and Bracha, along with their three children – Doba, Raizel, and Meir Yechiel – were deported to the Treblinka extermination camp.
