- He was a famous Polish chess player. He was also an engineer and a policeman. He led the group selected at the time of the Miła Street round-up that was to go to work to Lublin. But they were sent to Treblinka. He and his wife and children were in Umschlagplatz. At the Umschlagplatz he did not want to enter the car, and he was shot dead.
