- During the liquidation of the ghetto in Minsk, Jews were ordered to kneel in the Market Square from 10:00 to 17:00. At one point, Sura saw her son Hersz from a distance and crawled to him across the hard cobblestones. When she reached him, she put money in his pocket, gave him a package of food and said: "Listen, they will definitely kill me - I'm done for. But you are young. You may need this money."
