- Szmul was arrested on June 25, 1942 in Radom for complicity in illegal trade and leaving the ghetto; deported on August 18, 1942. On August 18, 1942 (the day after the liquidation of the so-called large ghetto in Radom), all Jews in prison at that time were probably deported to the mass extermination camp in Treblinka.
