- He was a very religious Alexandrian Hasid. The family ran a large grocery store. Due to his religious commitment, it was mainly his wife who worked in the store. Their son also helped run the family business. Together with his wife, they were deported to the Treblinka extermination camp, where they were killed. Before his deportation, Abram was abused by the Germans, who publicly cut off his beard.
