- "On September 27th, 1942, 80 railroad cars arrived at the Kozienice train station, where approximately 8000 Jewish residents of Kozienice were transported to Treblinka. On that train, were my grandparents, Manes and Sarah Bayer, my two aunts, Rachel and Rose, and my uncle Joshua. Also my great uncles, and great aunts, and cousins were sent on that day, in those rail cars to Treblinka, where they perished."
