- Notes
- "[In Treblinka] the Kapo was a young German Jew, Schneck. He was beast, he beat cruelly and we decided to 'clean' him. We put gold in his pocket and Rakowski reported this to the boss. 'Lalka' [vice commander of the camp called by prisoners a Doll] immediately approached the German [to Schneck] and pulled a golden twenty-dollar coin out of his pocket . 'Lalka' whipped him across his face and he was immediately sent to the death camp. And we got rid of this Kapo."
