- He and his three older sons survived the ghetto and forced labour at a glassworks in Piotrków. All four were then transported to the Hasag ammunition factory in Częstochowa. Dawid died in 1945, shortly before liberation, during the evacuation of the Częstochowa camp. He was killed by a German soldier who hit him in the head with a rifle butt at the railway station as the Russians were approaching.
