- Notes
- When the Jews were gathered in the Market Square in Minsk, a Jew from Kalisz named Zajdel tried to snatch a pistol from a German and called on the Jews to resist the Nazis. The German extermination squad began shooting from all sides. Hersh Tzvi's brother, Israel Aron Zyserman, who was right next to him, was hit by an exploding bullet that blew off half his head. Many others were also killed, and Jews were ordered to move the corpses to one side of the Market Square.
