- His first wife, Jeta, died in 1920. Pinchas remarried and had three more children. He ran a large agricultural supplies shop at 20 Twarda Street in Sochaczew. During the war he was with his family in the Warsaw ghetto, and later they moved to Międzyrzec. "On 25–26 August 1942 an ‘action’ took place in Międzyrzec, during which ten thousand people were deported to the Treblinka death camp. Between one hundred and fifty and one hundred and seventy people were crammed into each wagon. When the wagons were opened, two-thirds of them were already dead. My uncle and his family shared their fate."
